Manage inventory
Use Inventory to keep stock accurate on your shop — when goods arrive, when you pull stock for damage or samples, or after a shelf count. You do not type directly into the On hand column; every change goes through Receive, Issue, or Reconcile.
Before you start
- Sign in to your merchant dashboard.
- Products should already exist under Products — add them first if your list is empty.
- Know how many units you are receiving, issuing, or counted on the shelf.
View stock levels
- Open Inventory in the sidebar.
- Use Search to find a product by name or code.
- Filter with All, Low, or Out to focus on problem lines.
- Review On hand, Reserved (held for open checkouts), and Available (what customers can still buy).
From Overview on the dashboard home, Low stock and Out of stock counts link here with the right filter applied.
Update stock for one product
- Click Update on the product row.
- In Update stock, choose a tab:
- Receive — stock arriving (warehouse delivery, purchase). Enter Quantity in.
- Issue — stock leaving without a sale (damage, samples). Enter Quantity out.
- Reconcile — after a physical count. Enter Counted on hand.
- Optional: Add a Note (reason or reference).
- Click Post.
A confirmation appears when the movement is recorded. The table refreshes with new quantities.
Good to know
- Reserved units are tied to customers mid-checkout — you cannot issue below that level.
- Reconcile cannot set counted stock below reserved units.
- Low and out-of-stock flags drive what customers see as available on your shop.
- After creating a product, use Set stock on the success message or More → Stock on the product row to open Update stock for that item.
