ERP Jobs

ERP Jobs is Riv's workshop and repair job card add-on for ERPNext Desk. Your team tracks each repair from booking through assessment, quotation, parts, repair, invoicing, and collection — all on one Job record with guided workflow buttons.

It runs on the same ERPNext site as your back office (catalog, stock, and accounts). It is separate from D4 Connect — your online storefront does not show job cards — but both can share customers, items, and invoices when you use Riv for commerce and workshop operations.

What you can do

AreaWhat it covers

RolesFront desk (Job User), workshop manager (Job Manager), bench technician (Job Technician)
Quotations & invoicesLink standard ERPNext quotations and sales invoices to each job
PartsRequest parts via purchase or issue from stock; status updates when goods are received

How ERP Jobs relates to D4 Connect

SystemPurpose
D4 ConnectOnline shop — products, cart, checkout, merchant dashboard
ERP JobsIn-shop repair workflow — job cards, workshop status, repair invoicing

Many Riv merchants use D4 Connect only. ERP Jobs is an optional add-on when you run a repair or service workshop on ERPNext (for example electronics repair, appliance service, or trade workshop).

When both are enabled on your ERP site:

  • Parts and stock can be shared — the same items you sell online can be issued to jobs.
  • Customers can exist in both systems; workshop staff work in Desk, shoppers use your storefront.
  • Online orders and repair jobs are different record types — they do not automatically merge.
